As a
birth doula, I accompany women in labor to encourage, offer emotional, physical,
and informational support, and help with relaxation techniques. I can give both
the mother and her partner reassurance, perspective, suggestions for
different positions to help
labor progress, and comfort measures.
As a postpartum doula, I offer
whatever support is needed for the new mother and her family. I can help with
breastfeeding difficulties, newborn care, cooking, cleaning, errands, etc.
