For 15 years, John & Natali McClurg and the artisans at Fire & Light have been producing a line of glass tableware, home accessories and art glass that can be found in galleries and stores throughout the nation. Seven of Fire & Light’s nine colors contain over ninety percent recycled glass and each piece is hand poured in our Arcata, CA studio. Fire & Light is known for its vibrant colors, texture and quality. Every piece is hand made, one at a time in the USA preserving the rich tradition of American hand pressed glass, and utilizing a once wasted resource… post consumer recycled glass. There is nothing else like it. The company has recycled the equivalent of over 5 million bottles and jars. In addition to glass, the company recycles cardboard to produce a packing material that minimizes plastics in shipping. Fire & Light has been recognized at the state and national level for its contribution to developing a sustainable economy and a healthier environment.
