We collect China Berries, boil them to extract the seeds, string them on
strands, dye them, and add subtle fragrance. Our bead strands are for sale at a
local bead store for $15 per strand.
We also make malas. Prices vary.
This is a sustainable beading project. We make China berry seed beads because
the Earth is our mother. She is alive. We must take care of her. The rivers,
lakes and oceans are her bodily fluids. The minerals are her teeth and bones.
There is no need to chip the teeth and bones of Lady Gaia to make beads when the
China Berry Tree offers billions of them freely every year.
