Edible Estates are an attack on the American front lawn and everything it has
come to represent. Reconcile issues of global food production and urbanized
land use wht the modest gesture of a domestic garden. Edible garden landscapes
are responsive to culture, climate, context and people. They are a practical
food producing initiative, a place0responsive landscape design, a scientific
horticultural experiment, a conceptual land-art project,a nd a defiant political
statement and community outreach program...an act of radical gardening. This is
not a commercial business.
