Our vision is to
develop the orchard into a model for a small scale sustainable tree fruit
farming. The 37.5 acre farm is located just off the shores of Lake Ontario and
is an ideal location for growing quality tree fruit and has been a successful
orchard for many years. Key enablers to achieve this vision include: employing
integrated pest management techniques, using disease resistant cultivars,
planting diverse tree fruit crops, utilizing low energy consumption farming
techniques, establishing a positive relationship with the local community, and
being a steward of the environment.
