Dogs Deserve Better is an organization working to get dogs off chains, out of
pens, and into the home and family. Dogs are pack animals, and in lieu of the
roaming pack of old, we have become their pack. When they are ostracized to the
backyard, they suffer in many ways both physically and emotionally. It is time
we stopped allowing this kind of suffering, and help society realize it's not ok
to keep a dog this way.
DDB is the 2003 first place winner of the ASPCA Pet
Protector Award, and founder Tammy Grimes was a top ten finalist in the 2006
Animal Planet Hero of the Year Awar
