The concept for Canopy Beach was born when my wife and I were planning a family
trip to the beach. We were tapped out on beach supplies. So we fired up the
laptop and began shopping for eco friendly beach merchandise. We were searching
for beach merchandise specifically made to be eco friendly. To our dismay, after
countless hours of searching, we discovered there was nothing easy about it.
When we finally located a website that offered eco friendly beach merchandise,
it was usually just a store front that dropped shipped merchandise under many
different brands that we knew little or nothing about. Site after site, brand
after brand, we could never quite get enough information about the companies nor
were we able to really confirm what actually distinguished their beach products
as eco friendly. Upon returning from our weekend trip, we decided to start a
company that would specialize in offering authentic eco friendly beach supplies
all under one brand - Canopy Beach.
