As a certified labor doula or labor assistant, I provide continuous care for
women before, during and after birth. I help women and their partners
participate fully and joyfully in their birth by offering physical and emotional
support, as well as information about pregnancy and birth, including diet,
exercise, available medical technology and natural alternatives.
In addition,
I am trained to monitor the well-being of both mother and baby during
labor,which allows you to labor at home before going to the hospital.
I also
provie private childbirth education classes tailored to your specific needs.
As your doula I will provide:
* Four in-home prenatal visits
* Two post-partum
visits
* Assistance in writing a birth plan
* Continuous labor support,
beginning at home if desired.
* Continued emotional, physical and informational
support at the hospital
* Massage and other non-pharmacological pain relief
techniques
