Description:

|
Concerned about global warming and the harmful over-consumption of paper and
plastic bags, Denver resident Jan Ramos founded BaggyShirts LLC in July of 2007.
Ms. Ramos and business partner and next-door neighbor Dana Miller have
developed an alternative to disposable, single-use bags. BaggyShirts are
multi-purpose, reusable bags made from recycled men’s shirts.
As a green
business, the owners work from their homes, as do the artisans who fabricate
BaggyShirts. These local artisans are paid an above-average wage for the
industry. The entire shirt is used; nothing is wasted in the process.
BaggyShirts are unlike most other reusable bags in that they are not made from
petroleum-based materials or manufactured abroad and then imported. BaggyShirts
use no packaging, and when necessary, use only recycled and recyclable shipping
materials.
BaggyShirts can be purchased online at www.baggy-shirts.com or by
calling 303-300-6682.
