Products are made largely by women-owned businesses which serve the local communities.
Products made by Conserve India include bags, totes and satchels made from recycled
plastic bags. The bags are fashioned into a new "material" which is then made into dozens
of accessories. Conserve now provides over 400 sustainable incomes for the poor, helping
raise awareness, and cleaning up the environment.
Jewelry is all hand-made using
skills passed down for hundreds of years. The fine jewelry is all 18 karat gold; the
Nepalese jewelry is silver-plated, but also hand-crafted by local artisans.
In
addition, we have hand-beaded sandals, silk cover ups, pashmina and Jamawar shawls, beaded
bags, and artwork.
