An alumni of Pankey Institute, one of the leading centers for advanced
rehabilitative dentistry. He has studied with many of the world�s best dentists,
including Frank Spear, Peter Dawson and Gordon Christianson. Dr. Sowell
evaluated dental products for 10 years for Dr. Christianson�s Clinical Research
Associates. He is active in the Dallas County Dental Society and has acted as
director of continuing education, served on the scientific committee, acted as
committee chairman for the Southwest Dental Conference and represented Dallas in
the House of Delegates for the Texas Dental Association.
After graduating in
1981 from the number-one rated dental school in the country, The University of
Texas at San Antonio, Dr. Sowell become one of only 48 graduates in the U.S. to
be selected by the U.S. Army fo General Practice Residency Training. While in
the service as a dentist, Dr. Sowell served as an Assistant Clinic Chief at
White Sands Missile Range, receiving many commendations.
